The Day After...

Oh we had so much fun yesterday and Steve was such a good sport. We met up with Jennifer from Candid Moments Photography http://www.candidmomentsweddings.com/ and she did such and awesome job. She made us so comfortable and had a ton of great ideas to help us get the pictures we missed on our wedding day.

Here are a couple of our favorites allthough they were taken by my mom and Corrine with my camera as we wont get Jennifer's for a couple of weeks...but I can't wait!

Stay tuned I'll be sure to share the professional ones!
Here's a link to some others, I didn't want to post them all here!

It's set...SO EXCITED!

I talked to the photographer yesterday, my makeup girl, my "new" hair girl and my forever awesome Maid of Honor. It's all set, very last minute since I wasn't planning it for a couple weeks but on Sunday, we are turning into models! I need to start writing down/printing pictures of all my "must have" make up pictures! I can't wait to have them, I'm like a giddy little kid waiting on a cookie to get out of the oven!

I'll post um when I get um!!!!

So much going on

My brain is on overload, I feel like I'm missing something, or something is going to happen that I'm not ready for. I feel like I'm completely unorganized and have so much that needs to be done in a very short amount of time. I think I'm going insane...

So they had layoffs on Friday, mostly people that I would have expected or wanted, others I was shocked or annoyed by, only 1 a completely disagree with. Nevertheless I'm here and have to be happy I have a job, however I think it's inevitable that you wouldn't feel secure anymore. Business seemed great, the numbers were all right and yet we still did a layoff. They say part of it was to weed out the crap people, get rid of them and blame it on the economy but I don't know if I believe that 100%. Either way I'm still here, working away, hoping to be here next week.

Steve and I are working on setting up a new photo shoot to retake our wedding pictures. I just looked through them again and it just depresses me. I think I really need this photo shoot just to pull myself out of this slump! So in the next couple weeks, we'll be on our way, getting all gussied up to pose like we've never posed before.

Hmmm what else is going on...oh getting in shape. We are on a mission, I would love to be in much better shape before trying to add another person to my body weight. I want to be one of those cute obviously pregnant people, not a questionable possibly just fat woman! So back on track with eating (damn yummy holiday food) and getting our butts to the gym everyday.

Plus while spending all this time at work, the gym and planning photo shoots, we have to get the house cleaned up so we can host our first Thanksgiving as the married cooking machine. I'm really excited, I want to do it up all nice and pretty.

I think that's it, my mini vent to get everything out of my mind. We'll see how long that works for!

Election Day

So Steve and I got up nice and early this morning to go vote! Yeah for us! My main concern was for all the propositions, I guess I'm not involved enough in politics or city services to know the difference in all the other positions hoping to be filled by the random disgruntled parent or the guy who just thinks it would be cool to run for some sort of office. I really got a kick out of why some of these people felt they could do the job outlined in the bold print! Facinating yet none the less I chose candidates based on their little paragraphs of info that really do nothing but give me a little itty bitty amount of insight.

For the last couple weeks I have been scanning over the 12 California propositions, some were and easy choice and others took a lot more research and thought! How many millions upon millions of dollars can we borrow to pay 100% interest on, to do a job that will most likely end up costing us triple the original amount. Sure they don't raise taxes, we'll just spend the next 30 years paying off all the other countries that own the United States of America. Where is the logic in that?

My main source of entertainment has been the prop commercials. Like the one showing the little girl in the scummy doctors office who looks like he's about to rape her. Seriously if your 16 year old daughter can't come to you about getting pregnant you have failed as a parent. If your child would rather go into some back alley to have an abortion rather than talk to you, you have failed as a parent.

Then theres the prop 8 adds, my thoughts on that... you can't assign rights to a specific status and then tell certain people they can never attain that status. It's all just nuts! The lies that get thrown around in politics are frightening and really draw a sad picture of what we as a people stand for!

So I have spoken, lets wait around and see what the rest of the state thinks!
