Ahh Scheduling Conflict
So it finally hit me late last night that my work Christmas party is on Thursday AND so are volleyball playoffs. This sucks, its the first time I would actually be able to enjoy the Christmas party rather than working the whole thing (this year Im only working kids gifts) and I'm going to have to leave early to go play volleyball. So I can't stuff my face with all the yummy food and I can't get drunk! We better fucking win!
I've decided Im asking the subs to fill in for the first round (where were playing the 3rd place team, were in 2nd) and then I'll keep checking in to see how things go and leave when they are winning the second game. I'll change in the car and have the subs start while I warm up, then I'll play. Unfourtunately it would be too late to come back to the party (and I'd be sweaty) but I have a feeling Im gonna be really pissed if I leave and we lose. I know I should think happy thoughts, but I can't help it.

Sad and Frustrated
So seeing that I've never been pregnant and don't have a clue how it all works understandably I wouldn't know much about what happens at certain points in a pregnancy. That being said Steve and I planned on trying this month because my ovulation day would put us at exactly 24 weeks for the cruise should I happen to get knocked up this month. WELL little did I know that even though the times have changed, apparently the ideas on how you calculate a pregnancy haven't. Back in the old days, the only thing they had to base how far along a woman was in her pregnancy was her last period. So even though it's scientifically virtually impossible for you to get pregnant for those days between your period and when you ovulate (since there is no egg), they still count those days as part of the pregnancy. They're result, instead of basing your weeks pregnant on times that you could actually be pregnant is to include those days, which for me is usually about 2 1/2 weeks. This is turn royally FUCKED me in regards to trying to get pregnant because I have to have proof for the cruise line that I am not starting my 24th week by the end of the cruise.
So granted I know that it's highly possible that we wouldn't even get pregnant but there is a disappointment in not getting pregnant when your trying and a whole other disappointment when your not allowed to try. I called the cruise line yesterday and they told me my due date couldn't be before October 11th. If we were to actually get pregnant this month I would be due around September 17th. Now Corrine says to just lie to my doctor about when my last period was, then I could get the notice needed for the cruise and later through ultrasound they would just make the correction. I mean it wouldn't be the first time I played dumb blonde, even though my OB knows better. Then that's the other thing, I could probably convince my current doctor easy to give me the notice but I might be switching to Steve's insurance and who knows what would happen with a new doctor, especially with Kaiser.
So all in all, I'm not allowed to try to conceive my Christmas baby and that totally blows chunks! Now I will no longer have the chance at a September baby which means I get two shots before Steve says we have to wait again because he doesn't want a Christmas baby birth (understandably, me neither, those kids get jipped). It's just frustrating as hell to have to keep waiting, I wish we would have tried a lot harder to get pregnant in those first couple months after the wedding. Then we were just letting it happen...now look where that got us. You cant win if you don't play and I wanted to play the flipping lotto damn it.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday ever. Cooking yummy food, eating yummy food, going into a yummy food comma, what can be better? Oh being married to a man that can cook, that's even better. So 20 lbs later I wanted to share my competition to the Cheesecake Factory. Compliments to Ms. Paula Dean, even though I had to alter it to spice it up.
My Yummy Pumpkin Cheesecake Recipe

The Day After...
Oh we had so much fun yesterday and Steve was such a good sport. We met up with Jennifer from Candid Moments Photography http://www.candidmomentsweddings.com/ and she did such and awesome job. She made us so comfortable and had a ton of great ideas to help us get the pictures we missed on our wedding day.
Here are a couple of our favorites allthough they were taken by my mom and Corrine with my camera as we wont get Jennifer's for a couple of weeks...but I can't wait!

It's set...SO EXCITED!
I talked to the photographer yesterday, my makeup girl, my "new" hair girl and my forever awesome Maid of Honor. It's all set, very last minute since I wasn't planning it for a couple weeks but on Sunday, we are turning into models! I need to start writing down/printing pictures of all my "must have" make up pictures! I can't wait to have them, I'm like a giddy little kid waiting on a cookie to get out of the oven!
I'll post um when I get um!!!!

So much going on
My brain is on overload, I feel like I'm missing something, or something is going to happen that I'm not ready for. I feel like I'm completely unorganized and have so much that needs to be done in a very short amount of time. I think I'm going insane...
So they had layoffs on Friday, mostly people that I would have expected or wanted, others I was shocked or annoyed by, only 1 a completely disagree with. Nevertheless I'm here and have to be happy I have a job, however I think it's inevitable that you wouldn't feel secure anymore. Business seemed great, the numbers were all right and yet we still did a layoff. They say part of it was to weed out the crap people, get rid of them and blame it on the economy but I don't know if I believe that 100%. Either way I'm still here, working away, hoping to be here next week.
Steve and I are working on setting up a new photo shoot to retake our wedding pictures. I just looked through them again and it just depresses me. I think I really need this photo shoot just to pull myself out of this slump! So in the next couple weeks, we'll be on our way, getting all gussied up to pose like we've never posed before.
Hmmm what else is going on...oh getting in shape. We are on a mission, I would love to be in much better shape before trying to add another person to my body weight. I want to be one of those cute obviously pregnant people, not a questionable possibly just fat woman! So back on track with eating (damn yummy holiday food) and getting our butts to the gym everyday.
Plus while spending all this time at work, the gym and planning photo shoots, we have to get the house cleaned up so we can host our first Thanksgiving as the married cooking machine. I'm really excited, I want to do it up all nice and pretty.
I think that's it, my mini vent to get everything out of my mind. We'll see how long that works for!

Election Day
So Steve and I got up nice and early this morning to go vote! Yeah for us! My main concern was for all the propositions, I guess I'm not involved enough in politics or city services to know the difference in all the other positions hoping to be filled by the random disgruntled parent or the guy who just thinks it would be cool to run for some sort of office. I really got a kick out of why some of these people felt they could do the job outlined in the bold print! Facinating yet none the less I chose candidates based on their little paragraphs of info that really do nothing but give me a little itty bitty amount of insight.
For the last couple weeks I have been scanning over the 12 California propositions, some were and easy choice and others took a lot more research and thought! How many millions upon millions of dollars can we borrow to pay 100% interest on, to do a job that will most likely end up costing us triple the original amount. Sure they don't raise taxes, we'll just spend the next 30 years paying off all the other countries that own the United States of America. Where is the logic in that?
My main source of entertainment has been the prop commercials. Like the one showing the little girl in the scummy doctors office who looks like he's about to rape her. Seriously if your 16 year old daughter can't come to you about getting pregnant you have failed as a parent. If your child would rather go into some back alley to have an abortion rather than talk to you, you have failed as a parent.
Then theres the prop 8 adds, my thoughts on that... you can't assign rights to a specific status and then tell certain people they can never attain that status. It's all just nuts! The lies that get thrown around in politics are frightening and really draw a sad picture of what we as a people stand for!
So I have spoken, lets wait around and see what the rest of the state thinks!

Please don't leave me
As with every Pink album that comes out I always find a song that I just love! With this new one, there are actually a couple. Although I was hoping she would have released an album while happily married to Cary Hart and ditch the man-hater albums, or at least side track, it seems she's turned into a sap for heartbreak. Normally this wouldn't be a bad thing, as listening to her music has gotten me through some shitty relationship woes, however now I'm a happily married woman so it's harder to relate. That being said the song I most love the lyrics to that hits closest is Please Don't Leave Me. Not because I currently relate to it, but because I have and because I think every relationship deals with the words in the song, whether to the full extent or not!
So here goes:
Pink- Please Dont Leave Me
I don't know if I could yell any louder
How many times have I kicked you out of here?
Or said something insulting?
I can be so mean when I wanna be
I am capable of really anything
I can cut you into pieces
When my heart is broken
Chorus
Please don't leave me
Please don't leave me
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please don't leave me
How did I become so obnoxious?
What is it with you that makes me act like this?
I've never been this nasty
Can't you tell that this is all just a contest?
The one that wins will be the one that hits the hardest
But baby I don't mean it
I mean it
I promise
Chorus
Please don't leave me
Please don't leave me
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please don't leave me
I forgot to say out loud
How beautiful you really are to me
I can't be without
Your my perfect little punching bag
And I need you
I'm sorry
Please, please don't leave me
Chorus
Please don't leave me
Please don't leave me
I always say how I don't need you
But it's always gonna come right back to this
Please don't leave me

09/09/09 Baby
Okay so I obviously have baby on the brain. I was on the bump chat rooms and one of the girls asked when everyone was trying to concieve. Knowing were waiting I know the earliest would be a September baby and then it came to me, I'd love to have a 9/9/9 baby. So that would make the baby a Virgo and of course I had to check the traits so here goes:
The Virgin
August 23 to September 23
TraditionalVirgo Traits
Modest and shy
Meticulous and reliable
Practical and diligent
Intelligent and analytical
On the dark side....
Fussy and a worrier
Overcritical and harsh
Perfectionist and conservative
So the dark side would make him or her like thier Daddy, lol! Okay see now I have to check the Chinese calendar to see if it would be a boy or a girl, be right back...
Okay so I checked 3 different ones and it was 2 out of 3 for a boy (the descrepancy Im assuming is because two of them included the 9 months your in the womb as age). Anywho a total mini Steve, that could be interesting!
So that's what I'm shooting for, a 999 baby, much better than a 666 baby right? We're lucky there is no 13th month or we'd probably hold out for a 13/13/2013 baby!
