I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!!!!
Ours started out with going to the fair on Friday night! Mmmmm corndog, soft serve shared with Steve, corn on the cob (dipped in butter with parmesan) and nachos shared with mom. Yeah not a healthy night but very very yummy! Our whole reason for going, besides the fact that its the fair, is that Steve and my mom wanted to go to the Night Ranger concert. Of course 3 songs in, I realized this was baby's first concert (damn it, I was holding out for Nickleback in Sept). Steve enjoyed himself but I only knew one of their songs, Sister Christian.
Saturday we went to my friends sons birthday party and then headed off to the annual BBQ that Steve has been going to for years! I got to share the baby news with one of Steve's best friends as soon as we got there and she was super duper happy for us. I also shared the news with her daughters (who were our flower girls) and they were excited too. I left telling everyone else up to Steve and he made up a plan. Every year they do a prayer before eating and Steve's let his friend know he wanted to add something he was thankful for. Midway through the casual prayer Dre gave him the look and Steve made the announcement, it was followed by a crowd of cheers which is always so awesome to hear! It was a good day!
Sunday we went out to breakfast with my mom. Thanks to an episode of Bobby Flay's Throwdown, I have been craving blueberry pancakes for a week. We have our favorite breakfast restaurant and they serve these huge platter size blueberry pancakes so it was perfect. Steve and I decided to share a platter and I was starving. Here they come, we got a separate plate and I started digging in, sooooo yummy. I was about half way done with my one huge pancake when I looked up at my mom and she knew something was wrong.
I was locked into a very small booth not meant for anyone over size 8 let alone a pregnant bulge. I turned to Steve and said "Honey, move!" to which he replied "Huh?" and I said, "Move, NOW!" I got up as quickly as possible and said I was going outside for some air. Once I got out there, the air was refreshing but it wasn't a matter of keeping it down, it was a matter of when it was coming up. I rushed down an alcove on the side of the movie theatre next door and gave back my once fabulous blueberry pancakes. Steve came out to check on me, thankfully with napkins in hand. Back in the restaurant I visited the very small restroom in the kitchen where I realized not only did I loose my breakfast but I had blood pouring out of my nose too. Such fun! I went back to the table, ordered toast and lived in fear of the plate of a half eaten blueberry pancake in front of me! Not to worry though, the rest of the day I was fine, I guess baby just didn't want blueberry pancakes!
Well in a nutshell that was my weekend, hope yours was just as eventful, minus the pancakes!

Awe, that sucks! There is nothing worse than looking forward to something for so long, and it comes right back up! Glad you were able to keep all the other food down!
