12wk NT Scan

On Friday we went and had our NT Scan done and woohoo we got to hear the babies heartbeat, 156 bpm. It was so exciting, we only got to hear it for about 10 seconds, if that. I think the girl kinda felt bad that she shut it off so quick when I said "That's a first", of course not bad enough to turn it back on.

The scan lasted about 10 minutes as she pressed uncomfortably hard on my tummy. She was trying to get the baby to turn over because baby was in a bad position for the scan. She tried and tried and tried but to no avail, so she ended up just going from a million different angles the get the measurements she needed.

Apparently when I went in for my blood work a couple weeks ago I didn't give them the correct papers (missed one) and they didn't draw what was necessary for the NT Scan so we got no results. We ended up going and sitting for almost an hour waiting to get 1 teenie tiny vile of blood drawn afterward. Honestly I'm not worried about the NT scan results either way, so as long as I don't get a call in the next 10 days, I'll be sitting pretty until my 15 weeks appointment on 7/17. I was just so happy to be able to hear the baby and see the baby, even if baby was too stubborn to move around for us!

Here are a couple pics, not the best because I used my work scanner so I'll redo them at home hopefully tonight!
